About this program

This is a comprehensive, practical video program that teaches you how to use a foam roller safely & effectively to target muscle tension, tightness & knots. The programme provides guided exercises that can be easily incorporated into your daily fitness routine, whether at home or at the gym, to relieve tension, improve circulation & feel good.

What’s included in the program

  • This program consists of 9 guided videos, with a total duration of approximately 47 minutes
  • It begins with information on the different types of foam rollers & how to choose the most suitable one
  • Next, there are targeted sessions which dedicate a video for each of the following areas: glutes, lower back, upper back & shoulders, calves & hamstrings, knees, quads & hip flexors, ITB, feet, chest, & triceps. “I’m active, but I still feel stiff & tight.”

Why you need a foam rolling program

Persistent muscle tightness & restricted movement can affect your comfort & mobility. Foam rolling is a form of self-myofascial release, much like having a personal physiotherapist, it can apply controlled pressure to areas of soft-tissue tension. Similar to getting a massage, it may help reduce the sensation of muscle tightness, pain & tension, helping lengthen muscles & improve how the body feels afterwards.

Foam rolling can also increase local blood flow, improve circulation & lymphatic drainage. It can be incorporated before or after exercise & also provides a useful way to promote relaxation & recovery.

This program is for you if:

  • You experience muscle tension or stiffness
  • You spend long periods sitting, standing, driving or working in the same position
  • You exercise regularly & want a simple way to relieve muscle tension & recover well
  • You have a foam roller but are unsure how to use it safely & effectively
  • You want a simple, practical way to incorporate self-myofascial release at home or in the gym
  • You are busy & don’t have much time to exercise, but want a meaningful way to get started & feel better
  • You are stressed & need some time to “decompress” & relax
  • You are active (e.g. runners, cyclists & gym enthusiasts) & need a convenient way to release tension & maintain mobility & recover well
  • You would enjoy the benefits of a daily massage at no extra cost

Results you can expect from doing this program

  • Experience relief from muscle stiffness, aches, & pains
  • Improve circulation, flexibility & joint range of motion
  • Develop a simple daily routine
  • Understand how to target specific areas of the body according to your needs
  • Understand where, when & how to foam roll, as well as when it is not appropriate

What people are saying after completing the program

“With Suzan’s excellent workout with the foam roller you feel relaxed & if used correctly it can target those niggling areas which you may have from sport injuries & other exercise programs.”

“Since working with Dr Cronje I have discovered the benefits of foam rolling, which I have never really used in my stretch / exercise routine. This is NOT for you if:

While foam rolling is generally considered safe & beneficial for many individuals, however, foam rolling applies mechanical pressure to tissues, so it should not be treated as appropriate for every person or every condition. There are certain contraindications or situations where caution should be exercised & medical advice be sought before foam rolling.

  • You have severe pain
  • You are presently sick with cold fever, or any kind of infection
